Members of the public and the media have become more interested in the outcomes of U.S. presidential races in the past few election cycles. The 2012 presidential elections is getting near, the events are very much anticipated and the candidates are expected to strengthen their campaign. The Republicans needs to have a challenger that will match Mr. Obama in the 2012 presidential elections.

With the GOP field drawing many possibilities, big names emerged as potential candidates will include Mitt Romney, Donald Trump and Sarah Palin. There has been good and bad criticisms in which Mr. Obama's administration has received. The harsh economic situation which occurred in the U.S happened already before he could even start working as president.

One of the toughest problems of Mr. Obama's administration is the financial crisis. The foreign policy issues along with the weather disasters which affected many places in the U.S are the many issues Mr. Obama has to faced. Mixed reactions were thrown to Mr. Obama's administration for the very reason that Asian benefits more from American jobs. Mr. Obama's announcement on the death of Osama Bin Laden, cleared his administration from further criticisms. This one event will give the president a greater chance of achieving re-election.

One of the potential candidates which will represent the Republican Party in the 2012 presidential elections would be, Mitt Romney. The magnificent speaking skills and his experience brings Romney a potential candidate to watch out for the 2012 presidential elections. Romney a veteran of the game may have a tough duel with John McCain for the 2012 nomination. On the other hand, Romney's nomination is not yet a sure ball. He has been criticized for changing positions on key issues and for his health care policies as a governor. If Sarah Palin joins the 2012 presidential election, Romney may no longer get the nomination.

Former governor Palin also made a name for herself in the 2008 campaign, where she was John McCain's running mate. During that time she received a lot of feedback and criticism with regard to his political and personal life. While she has quite a bit of conservative support, she is not a popular figure among moderates and conservative democrats. If she will be part of her party for the 2012 presidential elections, her chance of winning might have a slim chance. This could result for lop siding defeat for her in the 2012 presidential elections.

For her to emerge victorious in getting the nomination of her party, she would need to have the support of conservative supporters who are willing to accept her inexperience in foreign policy and economic matters. One of the rising candidates for the 2012 presidential elections would be Donald Trump. Though he never mentioned that he will not join the Republican nomination, there is a wide news that he might challenge the President likewise the GOP nominee. With Donald Trump as a potential candidate, he is not yet to reveal his intention in running for the Republican nomination though he might challenge the GOP and Mr. Obama

This can be a crucial move for him for the 2012 presidential elections. As the elections gears up, the political battle for 2012 lies now in the hands of the voters. Regardless of the eventual winner, the race will be fascinating to watch.
