What's the latest news in the UAE? This read should give you some ideas of the recent UAE news so go on reading...

Beginning with Dubai news, the local authority is currently paying attention to businessmen known for engaging in illegal alcohol trade. Lead by Khalid Salem Selaiteem, the Environmental Emergency office tries to stop bandits from selling approximately 200,000 bottles of prohibited beer. This is because of the escalating number of crimes that involve illicit merchants. While this type of business stays attractive because of the large earnings one may get, the escalating competition in this market forms tension, enough to tempt a bootlegger to murder his tight opponents. Just this 2011, an Indian trader was placed on the death row after found guilty of burying his top 2 competitors alive in the desert. Selaiteen and his crew are working really hard to fight off this illicit market. He and his team are sure that they are going to fully have this mission by next year. They also cautioned future bootleggers who might engage into this kind of trading.

On the lighter side of UAE news, Kim Kadarshian, a well-known celebrity, can't contain her excitement about her first visit to Dubai. She mentioned her fascination for Middle Eastern dishes, and is looking forward to tasting the native food there. Kim also revealed her budding plans of opening a business there-a new clothing line maybe? The events on the said tour will be shown on the reality show, "Keeping Up With The Kadarshians". And that's the latest for Dubai News.

Going to Abu Dhabi, five bloggers failed to show up in a court trial, after being sued for writing comments that jeopardize peace. The comments on their blogs also express their conflict with the administration and insulting the president. Regardless of their nonappearance, the hearing continued on last October 2. Someone working for the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority allegedly testified about the comments supposedly from the five accused.

Meanwhile, a posh hotel in Abu Dhabi is facing charges from a woman, saying that they should be responsible for an accident that happened to her in 2008 while she was checked in at the hotel. The name of the establishment is none other than Emirates Palace, and the person who filed a complaint is Natalie Smith. According to Smith, something heavy hit her head while she opens the cupboard in the room she stayed in. Due to that accident, the woman suffered post-traumatic epilepsy, a situation that won't allow her to be on her own while crossing the road or when taking a bath. Therefore, she asks a whooping 20 million AED as a compensation for her husband giving up his business so he can look after her. While the legal proceedings for this case is still on a hearing, the director of Emirates Palace refused to say his comments on the problem.
